Missing College Student Found Alive

Missing college student Aisha Khan has been found safe, authorities in Kansas announced Wednesday night.

The 19-year-old Khan, who vanished Friday after leaving a frantic voicemail for her sister, was "not abducted or held against her will," the Overland Park Police Department said in a statement.

"Our prayers have been answered," said Aamer Trambu, a spokesperson for the Khan family.

It is still unclear where she was during this period.

"Right now, at this point, all we know is that she's safe and sound and there are no further details," Aisha Khan's sister Faiza Khan, 21, told ABCNews.com.

Since her apparent disappearance from the University of Kansas Edwards Campus, volunteers and at least 30 police officers launched a search for Khan. A Facebook group titled "Help Find Aisha Khan" generated more than 30,000 "Likes."

"Oh my gosh he was so scary. My heart is, like, pounding. I've never got this scared in my life," Khan said in the message to her sister, according to ABC. "Pick up your phones, I am freaked out right now."

On Wednesday night, Overland Park made contact with Khan by cellphone and determined that she was no longer in danger.

Overland Park police added that their investigation has concluded, according to MSNBC.

Khan will not face criminal charges, KCTV reports.
