This site is a Must Visit for everyone interested in 1970?s music. London Boy Marc Bolan & T-Rex achieved huge success as the creator of Glam Rock. Friend Ringo Starr described the hysteria dubbed T-Rextacy as being ?Bigger than the Beatles?. Here, at the side of Queen?s Ride Marc Bolan tragically died aged just twenty-nine. Since then it has become a place of pilgrimage for thousands of fans from around the world. The site features a bronze bust sculpted by Jean Robillard, unveiled in 2002 by Rolan Bolan. In 2007, the site was Officially Recognised by the English Tourist Board as a Site of Rock ?n Roll Importance.
16th September 2012 will be the 35th anniversary of his death & fans will gather, as they always do, on his anniversary to pay their respects.
The Official Marc Bolan's Shrine Visitor's Book is available to read/sign every 16th September.
