USA Today reports that Apple design chief Jonathan Ive is currently working on a new and spanking 50-inch Apple TV.
According to Steve Jobs' biography, the genius discovered how to make integrated TV sets and there have been much speculations of the new Apple TV.
USA Today reports that Apple is?looking at a 42-inch or even larger LCD TV with built-in Wi-Fi. The newspaper has a source in Apple that tipped that Ive, senior vice president of industrial design, is working on a new Apple TV. The?company is also struggling to secure the content deals for the television, which will be the crucial component of the device.
On the report, Apple is unable to cut deals that will allow it to offer first-tier TV network programs for an ? la carte iTunes TV service. That's seen as a key element to launching a revolutionary iTV.
"I do expect Apple to make an attempt," says Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, "since I expect the living room to remain a center for family entertainment, and that touches on all areas of consumer products that Apple is already making."

So far, we have heard of various rumors about the new Apple TV. First, we heard that iTunes creator Jeff Rubin is leading the Apple TV project. There were evidences that Apple will release a TV that is Siri-enabled. Part of the rumor is that the new Apple TV will be packed with amazing features, including the ability to respond to user's movements and stream its contents. The TV set will be available in three sizes; from 32 to 55-inch. Many speculated that the new Apple TV will be released by mid-2012 or in 2013.
However, it is very unlikely that Apple will make 32-inch and 37-inch TV sets for it is too small when the average size of television in the United States is 38 inches. On the other hand,?Jobs' vision of the Siri-enabled TV set is very exciting. There are concerns that the new Apple TV will be too expensive. However, as Apple have shown its consumers before, all gadgets are competitively priced.
